How do the monthly programs work?

These programs are best for clients who know they need our services on an ongoing basis. By committing to a monthly program, you not only receive a discounted hourly rate, but also faster and higher priority service. We’ll build our schedule around your needs so that you know we’ll always be available for you. You also receive the same discounted rate if you need additional hours in the month. To clarify how all of these benefits work, we’ve established a few policies to govern these programs below.

What days are you available?

We are available Monday through Friday, from 9am to 5pm EST. We are generally not available nights, weekends, and holidays. We also provide 2 weeks advance notice of any extended periods we’ll be away whenever possible.

What are the different response times?

Our regular clients will tell you how thrilled they are with how quickly we get back to them and take care of their requests. Very often, it’s the same day! However since our schedule can vary a bit, we’ve structured the response times for these programs to give the highest priority to our ongoing clients. With the higher level programs, you’re guaranteed to have the work completed within a matter of hours or days.

Why is there a weekly limit?

In order to keep a consistent schedule, each program has a different limit of hours that can be used per week. If an exception comes up and you need a bit more than that in a given week, we may still be able to help you out. However the limits are there so that one client can’t overwhelm our schedule for the week and crowd out other clients.

Do the hours expire?

For the 1, 5 and 10 hour programs, the hours do expire if unused each month. For the 20+ hour programs, your hours will roll over into the next month before expiring. So if you’ve got a slow month and a few hours are left over, they can be used the next month, as long as they don’t go over the weekly limits. Again, the reason for these policies is to avoid rollover hours overwhelming the schedule.

Can I cancel any time? Do you offer refunds?

Each program has a minimum commitment length, which ensures that we can commit the time for you in our schedule as we book projects in the months ahead. So in order to receive that commitment from us, along with the discounted hourly rate, you’ll be signing up for the corresponding number of months. Once that time period is up, you are welcome to cancel or renew your subscription. We will provide advance notice of any forthcoming changes to the programs, which would apply after you’ve renewed. And due to the nature of this work, we do not offer refunds. We’re pledging our time and energy to your project at the exclusion of other projects, so even if you decide you no longer want the hours, we cannot offer you a refund for them.

  • Maintenance refers to regular website maintenance, which we’ll always be available to you for through these programs.
  • Priority means you’ll be among our top priorities when scheduling future work – we’ll plan on working for you according to the hours you’ve purchased.
  • Dashboard refers to the client dashboard you’ll have access to, which lists your available time and line items detailing the time we’ve already spent in the given month.
  • Site Updates means we’ll do a backup of your site and run automated updates to WordPress and your plugins and themes for free, at least once every month. This helps to ensure your site is up to date and securely backed up.
  • Custom Projects are available for the higher tiers, referring to larger projects outside of or adding on to your main website that we can engage in with the additional time.
  • Best Value and Top Priority are pretty self-explanatory, if you choose the 40 hour package, you’ll receive the lowest available hourly rate and the highest level of commitment, ensuring that your projects come first before our other future projects are scheduled and that you’re getting the biggest bang for your buck!

How do the retainer programs work?

These programs are great if you have a custom project or plan to need our help for small web maintenance projects. Through these programs, you’ll lock in at a discounted hourly rate and know that you’ve got an experienced web developer available to you and committed to your project. These programs have unique benefits and policies that we established to clarify how things work.

Yes, the hours do expire, but only after a full year from your purchase date. The reason for the expiration is so that we can move on to and commit to new projects, and maintain a reliable schedule while doing so.

Can I get a refund?

Due to the nature of this work, we do not offer refunds for these programs. We’re pledging our time and energy to your project at the exclusion of other projects, so even if you decide you no longer want the hours, we cannot offer you a refund for them.

What do the different benefits mean?

  • Phone Support means that we’re happy to schedule a training or support phone call with you during the workweek.
  • Maintenance refers to regular website maintenance, which we’ll always be available to you for through these programs.
  • Priority means you’ll be among our top priorities when scheduling future work – we’ll plan on working for you according to the hours you’ve purchased.
  • Dashboard refers to the client dashboard you’ll have access to, which lists your available time and line items detailing the time we’ve already spent in the given month.
  • Custom Projects are available for the higher tiers, referring to larger projects outside of or adding on to your main website that we can engage in with the additional time.
  • Best Value is pretty self-explanatory, if you choose the 20 hour package, you’ll receive the lowest available hourly rate and the fastest response times, works great for large projects and ensures a great bang for your buck!
